Oh this Woman Crush Wednesday is fun! I love lifting up and supporting women who I admire. I really do admire Brooke Marston, Founder, Creative Director, & Editor-In-Chief of “Charity Girl Problems.”
Brooke is a pioneer. She has set out to re-define what it means to be a “Charity Girl,” and give back to the community. There is a warped notion that in order to partake in Philanthropy, you need to be a rich Housewife (or a well divorced woman), widow, or even Trust Fund Baby.
With all the outlets of Social Media, Brooke is saying, “no!” that’s not true. Every week, Charity Girl Problems highlights a special cause, fund, and/or organization, and tells you how to get involved and give back to the community. It can be as easy as going to the Church down the road to get involved with Food Services for the homeless, or supporting businesses which give back part of their sales to a charity of their choice. I love Brooke’s passion for helping others and her modern-day social media platforms for Charity Girl Problems through her Blog, Twitter, and Facebook.
I asked Brooke to show me what’s in her make up bag, and here are the winners….
At the end of the day, I get to say I have a pretty cool friend who makes highlighting others a priority. Make sure to check out Brooke’s Scarf and the cause behind it! I’ll leave you with Brooke’s words of wisdom:
I’m just a girl, crazy enough to believe she might just be able to change the world. At least the small world that surrounds her.
Happy Volunteering!
Love and Beauty,
E
